Record Oil Production in March in Oklahoma

March turned out to be a record oil production month in  Oklahoma as 16.8 million barrels of crude oil were pumped in the month. The U.S. Energy Information Administration indicated the previous high on record was 16.4 million in January. The record production goes hand-in-hand with the number of oil rigs in the state.

Rig Count Grew in Oklahoma in the past week

The number of oil and gas  rigs increased in both Oklahoma and the nation over the past week, reaching 142 in the state and 1,060 in the U.S. Information from Baker Hughes Co. and the Independent Oil and Gas Association based in Wichita, Kansas showed the nation’s rig count went up by one.
