Crude oil prices gained ground for a third straight day in Friday’s trading, though not as dramatic as Thursday.
Analysts say it’s a sign of improving demand in the U.S. and China.
Oil prices rose on Monday, as signs of improving demand in the U.S. and China, the top two oil consumers, aided the bounce from the previous session’s $1 a barrel slide.
West Texas Intermediate crude for June delivery gained 7 cents to settle at $79.30 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Brent crude, the global benchmark, settled up 2 cents at $83.29 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
June natural gas rose .001 cents to 2.501 cents per 1,000 cubic feet.
Oklahoma energy stocks were mostly higher in Thursday’s trading. LSB Industries gained more than 5% and Vital Energy and Gulfport Energy both gained more than 2% while Canoo followed a strong day with a drop of more than 3% Friday.
