Iowa closer to seeing more 15% ethanol at the pumps

  The Iowa State House has passed a bill to require gas stations to offer gasoline with 15% more blends of ethanol at the pump. The Des Moines Register reports it is considered a major step forward for a priority set by Gov. Kim Reynolds. Click here for Des Moines Register.

Nearly $3 billion profit reported by ConocoPhillips

  ConocoPhillips reported this week a fourth-quarter profit of $2.6 billion, or $1.98 a share, from a loss of $800 million or 72 cents a share in the year-ago quarter.
