West Texas wind farm being repowered

 

The West Texas Panther Creek III wind farm is being repowered under a deal partnered by GE Renewable Energy and RWE Renewables.

The project includes replacing a large number of the 133 wind turbine components including longer blades and the upgrading of existing gearboxes according to a report by Energy Global.

 

The erection and commissioning of the project is expected to be complete in 3Q2021.
