Oklahoma landowners who have joined forces to fight eminent domain used by renewable energy developers and utilities behind large transmission line projects are not alone in their efforts.
Take for instance what has happened in Wyoming where legislators got the message and approved an eminent domain bill to stop companies that are not public utilities from condemning land for electrical collection systems. The bill was opposed by agriculture and energy sectors, according to the Cowboy State Daily.
The paper reported one legislator called the bill an extra layer of protection for landowners.
