A young man who grew up in New York City has started an oil historical tour in Tulsa where he now makes his home.
Tulsa Tours was founded by Jeffrey Tannehaus and it brings into focus the history of the discovery of oil in Tulsa and how it changed the city.
“Many energy and supply companies trace their origins to early Oklahoma oil fields, even if those companies have since moved,” he said.
Tennehaus takes people on a tour of Tulsa’s tunnels and art deco architecture, explaining why these structures exist and why the city grew quickly and opulently with Oklahoma’s oil boom.
