Bending to complaints, one metropolitan airport near Denver has decided to switch to unleaded aviation fuel.

The Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield, located between Denver and Boulder, even bought a $50,000 tanker to store the unleaded fuel. The move is three years ahead of the original plan after nearby residents claimed the ongoing use of leaded fuel was a health threat.

““I think in the end it’s the right thing to do. It’s going to be good for everybody,” said one woman.
