Opposition grows to Colorado’s planned first geothermal power plant

Interesting how Colorado, a state with ambitious goals to reduce climate warming greenhouse gas emissions and at the same time wean itself from oil and gas by 2050, doesn’t want some of the projects in its backyard.

You know what they call those—NIMBYs—Not in My Backyard. The latest example is how two men who want to build the state’s first geothermal power plant are being opposed.
