Feds okay bullet train between Fort Worth and Houston—now who will pay for it?

Imagine riding Amtrak’s Heartland Flyer from Oklahoma City to Fort Worth, then catching a ride on a bullet train traveling up to 200 miles an hour to Houston?

It’s what rail fans are no doubt thinking about as the federal government has approved construction of the high-speed train, a partnership between Texas Central and Amtrak.

As described, such a trip from Fort Worth to Houston would take about 90 minutes.
