Government wants to shut down oil production in 9 Texas counties over lizard

A fight is in the making over the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service decision to declare the Dunes Sagebrush Lizard an endangered species in the Permian Basin.

The Service wants to shut down production in nine counties of the Basin and boy, has it angered Texas Congressman August Pfluger, State Sen. Kevin Sparks, the Texas Oil & Gas and Texas Independent Producers & Royalty Owners associations.
