EIA predicts March production in Permian will be a record high

The U.S. Energy Information Administration predicted this week that crude oil production in the Permian Basin of West Texas and southeast New Mexico will increase to a record 5.205 million barrels a day in March.

The EIA expects oil output to increase 71,000 barrels a day.

The Anadarko Basin, covering Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle is expected to see an increase of 6,000 barrels a day during March. The basin’s total daily production, said the EIA will be 399,000 barrels of oil.
Natural gas production in the Anadarko is expected to slip by 5 million cubic feet a day. The March natural gas production will total 6,336 MMcf/d stated the EIA in its weekly production report.
