All that oil and gas drilling in Wyoming by some Oklahoma-based energy firms no doubt contributed heavily to greatly increased revenue for the state.
As the Casper Star Tribune reported, revenue collected by Wyoming during the 2021 fiscal year far outstripped earlier estimates—thanks to unexpectedly high oil and gas prices.
