Crude oil prices plunged taking Oklahoma energy stocks with them

After reaching nearly $65 a barrel in trading last week, crude oil prices took a plunge in Friday’s trading and it took Oklahoma energy stocks with them.

West Texas Intermediate crude for June delivery dropped $1.43 to $63.58 a barrel in trading on the NYMEX, a loss of 2.20%.

Global benchmark Brent crude for June delivery was off $1.31 and settled at $67.25 a barrel for a 1.91% loss in ICE Futures Europe.

June natural gas rose 2 cents to $2.93 per 1,000 cubic feet.

Oklahoma energy stocks suffered in Friday’s trading with one exception—Gulport Energy Corporation. Its stock rose 14.58% which despite the penny-stock trading was still a considerable gain. Shares finished the day at $0.055 cents.

Two of the firms with the biggest losses percentage wish were PHX Minerals Inc. where shares lost 9.97% on a 32 cent decline to $2.89; and Helmerich & Payne where the loss totaled 8.92% on a $2.51 drop to $25.63.

Here’s how others did.

Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. lost 4.70% on a 27 cent fall to $5.48.

Blueknight Energy Partners LP dropped 12 cents for a 3.56% loss to $3.25.

Chesapeake Energy fell $1.38 for a 2.94% loss to $45.57.

Cimarex Energy Co. lost 1.44% on a 97 cent tumble to $66.20.

Continental Resources Inc. fell $1.12 for a 3.97% loss to $27.24.

Cypress Environmental Partners LP fell 5 cents for a 2.31% loss to $2.21.
Devon Energy lost 2.87% on a 69 cent slide to $23.38.
Enable Midstream Partners LP dropped 17 cents for a 2.25% loss to $7.39.
LSB Industries Inc. lost 6.11% on a 39 cent fall to $5.99.
Laredo Petroleum Inc fell 71 cents to $40.54 for a 1.72% loss.
Magellan Midstream Partners LP lost 0.99% on a fall of 47 cents to $46.77.
Mammoth Energy Services Inc. settled down 14 cents at $3.82 for a loss of 3.54%.
Matrix Service Co lost 1.05% as shares fell 14 cents to $13.21.
NGL Energy Partners LP finished down 4 cents for a 1.85% loss to $2.12.
OGE Energy Corp. finished down 16 cents at $33.56 for a loss of 0.47%.
ONE Gas. Inc. gained 0.47% on a 38 cent increase to $80.47.
ONEOK, Inc. fell 26 cents to $52.34 for a loss of 0.49%.
Ovintiv Inc. dropped $1.02 for a 4.09% loss to $23.93.
SandRidge Energy Inc. was down 25 cents at $4.06 for a 5.80% loss.
Unit Corporation was unchanged at $13.
Williams Companies Inc. finished down 22 cents at $24.36 for a loss of 0.90%.

EOG Resources (EOG) down 2.32 at 73.64 – change 3.05%

ExxonMobil (XOM) down 1.70 at 57.24 – change 2.88%

Kinder Morgan (KMI) down 0.24 at 17.05 – change 1.39%

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) down 0.47 at 11.26 – change 4.01%

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) down 0.29 at 14.95 – change 1.90%

Occidental Petroleum (OXY) down 0.58 at 25.36 – change 2.24%

Phillips 66 (PSX) down 0.21 at 80.91 – change 0.26%

Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) down 5.74 at 153.83 – change 3.60%

Valero (VLO) down 0.90 at 73.96 – change 1.21%
