Devon names senior leadership team in merger with WPX Energy

 

Devon Energy has identified is new senior leadership team as the company prepares to move even closer to its merger with Tulsa-based WPX Energy.

In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Devon’s Executive Committee said a major step was taken last week to building the company’s future leadership team with the selection of the firm’s vice presidents.

WPX President and COO Clay Gaspar was named to lead the Asset teams, Drilling and Completions and ESH & EHS groups.

David Harris, Executive Vice President of Exploration and Production at Devon since September of 2019 was named in charge of the operational teams and advance future strategic and business opportunities including potential prospects in the energy transition space.

Jeff Ritenour, Devon’s executive vice president and chief financial officer since April 2017 will lead the Finance, Accounting, Investor Relations, Marketing & Supply Chain and Internal Audit teams.

Dennis Cameron, the executive vice president and general counsel for WPX Energy, Inc. was chosen to oversee the Legal, Corporate Governance and Government Affairs groups.

Tana Cashion, Devon’s  senior vice president of human resources in 2016 since 2016 will lead Human Resources, Corporate Services, Community Relations and Communications teams.
