Panhandle Oil and Gas Elects Directors Lorenz and Robotti For Three More Years

At Panhandle Oil and Gas Inc.’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders recently held in Oklahoma City on March 10, 2016, the company elected two incumbent directors to additional three-year terms. Robert O. Lorenz of Edmond, Oklahoma and Robert E. Robotti of New York were elected to serve until 2019.
Lorenz has been Lead Independent Director of Panhandle Oil and Gas Inc. since 2008 and has been its Director since 2003.
Lorenz, a Certified Public Accountant, holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ohio University. Prior to becoming a Director of Panhandle, Lorenz served in various capacities at Arthur Aundersen from 1969 to 2002. He spent more than 30 years in public accounting, serving as audit partner for a number of public companies in the oil and gas, mining and electric services businesses. Lorenz has been a Director of Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company (OG&E), a subsidiary of OGE Energy Corp. since 2005. He is a former Director of Oklahoma City’s now-defunct Kerr-McGee Corporation. Lorenz earned a Bronze Star while completing a tour of duty in Vietnam with the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1971.
Robotti has been a Director of Panhandle Oil and Gas Inc. since 2004.
Robotti received his M.B.A. decree in Accounting from Pace University and a B.S. in Business Administration from Bucknell University. He is a Chartered Public Accountant charter holder. Prior to becoming a Director of Panhandle, Robotti has been the President of Robotti & Company, Incorporated since 1983. His areas of coverage include special situations, oil & gas producers and oil-service companies and property-casualty insurance.
