Supreme Court won’t hear Utah’s challenge of federal control of land

Just a few days after protesters gathered at the Utah state capitol to rally against Utah’s land grab lawsuit, the U.S. Supreme Court announced it would not hear the lawsuit which seeks control of federal public lands in the state.

They had gathered to protest the petition filed last summer by Utah Gov. Spencer Cox and then-Attorney General Sean Reyes. They challenged the Bureau of Land Management’s move to manage 18.5 million acres of federal public land in the state.
