Crude made gains on Tuesday….WTI pushes closer to $80 a barrel

Crude oil prices recorded a jump of a dollar a barrel in Tuesday’s trading and it came as OPEC+ reportedlly is thinking of extending its voluntary oil output cuts into the second quarter of the year.
West Texas Intermediate crude rose $1.29 or 1.7% to settle at $78.87 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Brent crude finished up $1.12 or 1.4% to $83.65 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
March natural gas rose 6 cents to $1.66 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Tuesday was a day for gains for many Oklahoma energy stocks including a 4% jump for Vital Energy.
