For those who believe the oil and gas industry is doomed, geopolitical observer and author Peter Zeihan says not so fast.

“The US is already a significant oil refiner and exporter, but there is a mismatch in the type of crude produced domestically and what US refineries can process; to reduce import dependency, the US will need to retool its refineries to process domestic crude,” said Zeihan.
