The decision by Kansas energy company Evergy to delay a move to close a coal-fired power plant at Lawrence, Kansas didn’t go over well with residents.
More than 100 protested this week outside the City Hall and rallied for clean energy and urged Eveery to close the power plant.
Every backtracked on its promise to close the plant and move toward renewable alternatives by the end of the year. The planned closure has been pushed back 5 years.
