Oklahoma’s towing industry could face rate changes

JT's Wrecker Services - Tow Company in Clinton, OK

Rate making in Oklahoma’s wrecker industry will be the focus of an upcoming meeting of leaders at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission’s Transportation Division.

During the July 11 meeting, staff will lead a discussion on the procedures and timing for a change of the rates for nonconsensual towing and storage.

While the staff will not be discussing the merits of any ongoing rate cases, this forum will provide the opportunity for the industry to learn the evidentiary requirements, deadlines and due process considerations of an interested party in a rate case.

The meeting will be held, in-person, at the Will Rogers Building, Concourse Theater, on July 11, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., located at 2401 N. Lincoln Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK. The Concourse theater is located in the basement level of the Will Rogers Building.

A streaming option will be available, but will be limited to “view only.” You may watch the meeting from this link when it begins: https://www.zoomgov.com/j/1616758121.

A live question and answer session will occur, but will be limited to those that attend in-person. Please join us for a discussion of how rate making occurs, how to intervene in upcoming rate cases and the requirements for modifications of the current nonconsensual towing rate order.
