Texas Readies Lawsuit Over EPA Rules On Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Texas is preparing to file a lawsuit against the EPA over its new rules on greenhouse gas emissions.  The Railroad Commission has voted to refer the new rules to the attorney general’s office to suggest a legal challenge in federal court.

Railroad Commission Chair Christi Craddick calls this “another baseless attack on the oil and gas industry.  The commission alleges the rules would reduce the electricity supply in Texas.
