Crude oil prices rose a second straight day in Thursday’s trading.
West Texas Intermediate crude for June delivery gained 60 cents to settle at $79.23 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Brent crude, the global benchmark settled up 52 cents at $83.27 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
June natural gas rose 8 cents to $2.50 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Oklahoma energy stocks were mixed in Thursday’s trading. Canoo gained more than 8% and Mach Natural Resources nearly 4% while Matrix Services dropped 4% and SandRidge Energy fell 2%.
