The protection of air quality. It’s the intent of a bill unveiled this week by some Colorado legislators and if it becomes law, it would result in even more demands on the state’s oil and gas industry.
The bill would set new emissions standards for the internal combustion engines used at drilling sites according to advocates of the Protecting Communities from Air Pollution Act. The act would force businesses to prove future projects wouldn’t further degrade local air quality reported Colorado Public Radio.
