Public Service Company of Oklahoma Names Vice President of Generation Transformation, Strategy, and Growth
Public Service Company of Oklahoma announced the appointment of a new Vice President of Generation Transformation, effective April 20, 2026.
In this role, Bryan Walsh will lead PSO’s generation fleet, including operational excellence, fleet modernization, reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance across the company’s generation assets. He will play a critical role in advancing PSO’s long-term efforts to deliver reliable, affordable, and resilient electricity for customers across Oklahoma while supporting the company’s evolving resource portfolio.
Walsh brings more than 15 years of power generation leadership experience spanning hydroelectric, combined-cycle, and simple-cycle facilities. Most recently, he served as Assistant Vice President of Hydroelectric Operations at American Municipal Power (AMP), where he was responsible for fleet operations, dam safety programs, regulatory compliance, and large-scale capital projects. Previously, Walsh held leadership roles overseeing natural gas generation assets, administering long-term service agreements, and implementing multi-year capital improvement and maintenance planning strategies.
“Bryan is a proven leader with deep technical expertise and a strong track record of improving reliability, managing complex assets, and leading teams,” said Leigh Anne Strahler, President and COO of Public Service Company of Oklahoma. “His experience across diverse generation technologies and his focus on safety, accountability, and performance will be invaluable as PSO continues to modernize our generation fleet and support the needs of our customers and communities.”
A U.S. Navy veteran, Walsh has successfully led major plant overhauls, renegotiated long-term service and O&M agreements, strengthened compliance programs, and implemented data-driven maintenance and performance initiatives.
“I’m honored to join PSO at such an important point in the company’s generation transformation journey,” said Walsh. “I look forward to working with the talented PSO team to ensure continued reliability, affordability, and safe operations while supporting the evolving needs of customers and the grid.”
