Environmentalists resorted to a lawsuit this week in a move to stop the Biden administration from opening up more than 73 million acres of the Gulf of Mexico to oil drilling.
Several groups filed a federal court legal challenge to the Department of Interior’s sale of oil and gas leases in unleased areas about 200 miles west of peninsular Florida according to WUSF Public Media.
