Permian Basin still leading U.S. oil and gas as markets look to recover

A report by Rystad Energy, an independent research and business intelligence company based in Norway claims the Permian Basin is now pumping more oil than every country in the world with the exceptions of Saudi Arabia and Russia.

The Odessa American reported Rystand contends the Permian Basin will boom to 5.6 million bpd by the end of 2022 and reach 6.5 million barrels a day by 2023. It’s a region where Oklahoma oil and gas producers are among some of the most active firms.
