Oil shot up Friday and proved to be a big day for Oklahoma energy stocks

Rising Oil Prices To Continue - PNC News First

 

China’s move to ease pandemic restrictions resulted in a 4% jump in oil prices on Friday and left Oklahoma energy stocks soaring.

It came as U.S. gasoline prices also reached a record high and investors expressed concerns that supplies will only tighten if the European Union goes ahead and bans Russian oil.

West Texas Intermediate crude for June delivery went up $4.36 and settled Friday at $110.49 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for July delivery rose $4.10 and finished at $111.55 a barrel in trading on ICE Futures Europe.
June natural gas fell 8 cents to $7.66 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Friday proved to be a strong day in gains for Oklahoma energy stocks including a 6% jump for Devon Energy, 9% for LSB Industries and Mammoth Energy, and 6% for Ovintiv Inc.
