Crude oil prices rose again on Wednesday as the U.S. benchmark finished at the highest level since October 2014 while European prices traded at one point for more than $90 a barrel.
This, after OPEC+ agreed to continue with its timetable of another 400,000 barrel-a-day rise in March.
West Texas Intermediate crude for March delivery rose 6 cents or nearly 0.1% to finish at $88.26 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
April Brent crude, the global benchmark, managed a 31 cent gain or nearly 0.4% and settled at $88.47 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe. However, at one point during the day, Brent crude traded as high as $90.52 a barrel.
For some Oklahoma energy stocks, it proved to be a good day. NGL Energy Partners gained 8% while Unit Corporation rose 6.5%. Others weren’t so lucky and reported losses.
