Crude oil prices rebounded in Wednesday’s trading as the Western World wonders if Russia really is pulling some troops back from the border of Ukraine or simply pulling a stalling tactic.
Prices went up more than 1% as investors wondered about the validity of reports that there had been a withdrawal of some Russian troops.
West Texas Intermediate crude for March delivery went back up $1.59 to $93.66 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for April delivery rose $1.53 and closed at $94.81 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
March natural gas rose 41 cents to $4.72 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Oklahoma energy stocks had some modest gains in Wednesday’s trading but the standout was Devon Energy where it recorded a nearly 5% increase.

ExxonMobil (XOM) up 0.36 at 78.34 – change 0.46%
Kinder Morgan (KMI) up 0.12 at 17.13 – change 0.70%
Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) up 0.53 at 21.07 – change 2.58%
