New Mexico regulators urged to formally accept climate change science

 

Environmentalists were joined recently by New Mexico’s Attorney General in formally asking state regulators to accept climate change as “scientific fact.”

The request of the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission came as part of a filing in the proposed merger of energy giant Avangrid with Public Service Company of New Mexico. The Attorney General’s office and environmental groups asked regulators to include science in all decisions made in the case.
