Colorado moved a step closer to creation of a passenger rail line for the state’s Front Range when its state House last week approved a bill and sent it to Gov. Jared Polis.

The measure would create a new state government entity that could eventually fund and support the rail line. Colorado Public Radio reported the new entity, a special district, does not yet have any taxing authority.
