Long shot effort filed by Republicans to bring back Keystone XL line

It’s considered a long shot but Republicans in the U.S. House and the Senate have introduced legislation to resurrect the Keystone XL pipeline after it was cancelled by President Biden in one of his first of dozens of executive orders.

The bills by Montana Sen. Steve Daines and North Dakota Rep Kelly Armstrong would allow for the construction of such pipelines without the need of a permit from the president.

“We must reverse Biden’s disastrous decision and send a clear message that supporting American workers is more important than supporting Saudi Arabia and allowing radical environmentalists to cash in on campaign promises,” Daines said in a statement reported The Hill.
