Who could get bumped by Tesla from S and P?

The S & P 500 might make room for Tesla by removing an oil and gas company from its list of 500 names in the index.

Speculation at least by SeekingAlpha included the name of Oklahoma City-based Devon Energy. In reviewing that electric car maker Tesla made the 500 grade and will join the S&P 500 by Dec. 21, someone has to go.

The S&P hasn’t disclosed which firm might be eliminated. But Devon Energy was on a list of oil companies that might make the list.
