Think you need another reason to be skeptical of polls? As we noted this week, a poll or survey by the American Hotel and Lodging Association found that 72% of us are not likely to travel for Thanksgiving.
Hmmm. What about the poll by Tripadvisor which released its 2020 Thanksgiving Travel Index and found that 56% of us intend to “leave” home for the holiday?
Who do you believe? No wonder pollsters are down there with journalists and members of congress when it comes to believability.
Regardless, Tripadvisor said 75% of those going somewhere for Thanksgiving will drive while 11% will fly commercially despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
You can either flip a coin to decide who to believe. Or don’t consider just one source of your news.
