Those wanting to use some of the $3.5 million in VW settlement money for clean-air emission improvements on their trucks have a Sept. 30 deadline in Oklahoma.
The Department of Environmental Quality said the money is available under the On-Road Program to reduce nitrogen oxides emissions by replacing or repowering diesel medium and heavy duty vehicles.
The program applies to:
- Class 8 Local Freight Trucks and Port Drayage Trucks (Large Trucks)
- Class 4-8 Shuttle Bus or Transit Bus (Buses)
- Class 4-7 Local Freight Trucks (Medium Trucks)

The DEQ said the second round of the ChargeOK Electric Vehicle Charging Grant Program closes Tuesday, September 8, 2020.
