HollyFrontier Assessing Fire Damages at Refinery in Utah

HollyFrontier Corporation, a Dallas firm with refineries in Tulsa and El Dorado, Kansas says a recent fire has resulted in reduced rates at its refinery in West Bountiful, Utah.

The company says the fire happened March 12 and no workers were injured. But it affected the ability of the refinery to receive crude oil deliveries.

“HollyFrontier is in the process of determining the scope of the damage resulting from the fire, the extent to which it will affect or delay crude oil deliveries and the steps necessary to repair the damage,” said the company in releasing a statement this week. “At this time, HollyFrontier does not anticipate the event having any material impact to its first quarter consolidated crude throughput guidance.”

HollyFrontier has a 125,000 barrel per stream day refinery in Tulsa along with a larger refinery in El Dorado, Kansas. Plus it has refineries in Artesia, New Mexico; Cheyenne, Wyoming and Woods Cross, Utah.
