Wyandotte Nation gets EPA grant to fight water pollution

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently awarded $33,000 to the Wyandotte Nation of Oklahoma to implement nonpoint source and watershed-based plans management programs to control polluted runoff. “This grant provides support to Wyandotte Nation of Oklahoma to achieve better protection and restoration of their water resources,” said Regional Administrator Anne Idsal. “Working with our state and …

Another earthquake recorded in zone near Pawnee and Cushing

Oklahoma’s latest earthquake was recorded Monday in northern Oklahoma near the town of Coyle. It was in the same geographical area of Cushing and Pawnee where larger quakes have been recorded. Those quakes, the strongest of which was 5.8 magnitude near Pawnee in 2016 resulted in some lawsuits filed against oil and gas companies. The …
