Legislative session begins Monday–will energy get attention?

Soon those empty House seats at the state capitol till be filled. So will the gallery as it is filled with spectators.

The Oklahoma legislature returns in full force to the state capitol on Monday and legislators will hear Gov. Kevin Stitt deliver his seventh State of the State Address.

Will he address energy and the challenges and controversies that come with it in his address? We’ll be paying attention. OK Energy Today has already high-lighted some of the various energy-related bills filed by some legislators.

Several deal with eminent domain and the efforts of corporations to condemn land for construction of electrical transmission lines. Others are aimed at competitive bidding for similar projects. Some will focus on the Corporation Commission.

More than 3,200 bills have been filed in the State House and Senate.
