Of all of the reported drilling activity in the nation’s shale basins, the biggest change in the past week occurred in the Granite Wash of western Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle.
The count, according to Baker Hughes inceased two to 5 active rigs. Otherwise, the nation’s drilling activity in the basins declined by one to 583 rigs.
The Permianbasin ws unchanged at 303 rigs, according to the Baker Hughes rig count. The Williston in North Dakota remained at 35 and the Eagle Ford of South Texas remained at 48.
The Haynesville numbers fell two to 30 rigs and the Marcellus stayed at 25. The Utica count continued with 10 rigs.
The Ardmore Woodford has no reported drilling activity, based on what Baker Hughes reported. The play count lost one rig, leaving no active rigs in the region. The Arkoma Woodford remained at a single rig and the Cana Woodford increased one to 21 rigs.
The Barnett play of north Texas remained at 2 rigs. The D-J Basin stayed at 7. Baker Hughes claimed there is no reported drilling in the Mississippian.
