Feds finance more than a dozen solar farms in Arkansas

 

More than $2.5 million in federal funding has gone to the building of 13 solar farms in Arkansas.

The money, totaling $2.573,271, came from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

According to USDA officials, the grants provided through the USDA Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) are intended to lower energy costs while providing jobs and clean energy.
