Crude oil prices slid 1% in Wednesday’s trading

Wednesday was a second straight day of losses for crude oil prices as they settled 1% lower, mostly because of a smaller-than-anticipated drawdown in U.S.. crude stockpiles, including those at Oklahoma’s Cushing Hub.

There were also worries about Chinese demand. The latest tumble in prices came after a 2% decline on Tuesday.

West Texas Intermediate crude dropped $1.01 or 1.34% to finish at $74.52 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Brent crude finished down 90 cents or 1.13% to $78.65 a barrel—another day under the $80 mark.

As for Oklahoma energy stocks, it was another day of losses for most. NGL Energy dropped 3% and a few others experienced 2% losses while most had declines of 1% or less.

Other energy stocks also recorded losses for the day, according to the Texas Energy Report.
