In death, Inhofe criticized by New York Times, AP and others

Some national news organizations used the death of former Oklahoma U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe to be critical of the longtime politician and his stance over climate change.

They included the New York Times, the Associated Press, Politico and the Huffington Post, piling on Inhofe as news spread Tuesday of his death at the age of 89 following a stroke.

The Huff Post described him in its first sentence announcing his death as “one of the most vehement climate change deniers to ever walk the halls of Congress.”

The Associated Press? It characterized the late Senator as a “defense hawk who called human-caused climate change a ‘hoax’,” reported Fox News.
