A Tennessee solar company was recently fined more than $220,000 and banned from doing business in the state of Kansas following what prosecutors called “unconscionable and deceptive acts and practices.”
The action by the District Attorney in Wichita came after customers of Design 1 Group LLC complained about its work and sales efforts. A judge fined the company $110,000 and ordered nearly $107,000 in restitution to customers.
KSNW reported an investigation by the DA found the company had contracted for services without a license.
