Crude oil finished the week up 6%

Crude oil prices finished not only higher on Friday but also finished the week with a 6% gain from the previous week, thanks to growing concerns about Middle East oil supplies.

West Texas Intermediate crude rose 62 cents or 0.8% to settle at $76.84 a barrel.

Brent crude went up 56 cents or 0.7% and finished at $82.19 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.

Both gained the week, mostly because of Israel’s rejection of a Hamas ceasefire proposal.

March natural gas fell 7 cents to $1.85 per 1,000 cubic feet.

The majority of Oklahoma energy stocks experienced losses in Friday’s trading but one stock, Matrix Service Co. scored a nearly 9% gain for the day.
