Wednesday’s trading brought another 3% drop in crude oil prices and Oklahoma energy stocks experienced a second straight day of losses.
It was the lowest level for oil prices in more than three months as concerns grew over declining demand in the U.S. and China.
West Texas Intermediate fell $2.12 or 2.7% to $75.25 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Brent crude, the global benchmark, dropped $2.14 or 2.6% to $79.47 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
Natural gas finished the day up one cent at $3.12 for a change of 0.39%.
Oklahoma energy stocks had another rough day with nearly all recording losses for the day. PHX Minerals fell 7% and Empire Petroleum dropped more than 4%.
