Oklahoma regulators to discuss Right of First Refusal

Oklahoma Corporation Commissioners will meet Thursday and hold a discussion about two controversial topics—Right of First Refusal for utilities and Performance Based Ratemaking.

The agenda for the 1:30 p.m. meeting includes an item regarding the Commission’s inquiry into the two issues. Both were also the subject of recent interim studies by committees in the Oklahoma Senate and House. The agenda stated it would be a technical conference for discussion and public comment.

Otherwise, the rest of the agenda will deal with rulemaking, not ratemaking. The commission will consider new rules as proposed from its Oil and Gas Conservation Division. The rules will apply to the Petroleum Storage Tank Division
