Black Mesa finds 1,500 barrel a day oil well in southern Oklahoma

 

Tulsa-based Black Mesa Energy scored a large producing oil well in southern Oklahoma, a well with oil production of more than 1,500 barrels a day.

The Wolf Pack 36-25-1S-4W SXH2, located about 2 miles east of the town of Alma, was spud in Stephens County in November 2022 and completed in January 2023. It is located at 36 1S 4W and produced 1,514 barrels of oil a day and 2,131 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 17,260 feet in the Sycamore formation. The true vertical depth was listed at 8,348 feet.
