Crude oil prices and Oklahoma energy stocks fell on Wednesday. Crude dropped 1% due to a build in U.S. gasoline stocks and weak manufacturing data globally.
West Texas Intermediate crude dropped 75 cents or 0.9% to $78.89 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude fell 82 cents or 0.98% to finish at $82.21 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
September natural gas fell 6 cents to $2.50 per 1,000 cubic feet.
While Mammoth Energy saw a 4% gain in Wednesday’s trading, most other Oklahoma energy stocks felt the pain of moderate losses. Most of the losses were about 1% for the day.
The Texas Energy Report showed how other energy stocks didn’t fare well in Wednesday’s trading.
