Friday’s trading saw oil prices and Oklahoma energy stocks finish on the down side and analysts blamed it on increased worries about interest rate hikes and how it could affect demand.
West Texas Intermediate crude dropped 35 cents or 0.5% to finish at $69.16 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude fell 29 cents or 0.4% and closed at $73.85 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
July natural gas rose 12 cents to $2.73 per 1,000 cubic feet.
More were down than up when it came to Oklahoma energy stocks on Friday. NGL Energy dropped 4% and PHX Minerals fell 3% while Unit Corporation gained 3%.
