Crude oil futures dropped again in Tuesday’s trading as weaker-than-expected economic data in China and the US offset a forecast of higher global demand from the International Energy Agency. At the same time, all but 2 of the Oklahoma energy stocks we follow daily managed gains. The rest endured losses.
West Texas Intermediate crude dropped 25 cents to close at $70.86 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Brent crude futures fell 32 cents and finished at $74.91 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
June natural gas was unchanged at $2.38 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Only two of the Oklahoma energy stocks listed below managed small gains in Tuesday’s trading….PHX Minerals and Unit Corporation. Others were hurting at the end of the trading session with Empire Petroleum dropping 7% and Ovintiv Inc. 4%.
